1. What this policy covers
American Republic Clock (“ARC,” “we,” “us,” or “the site”) is an Arklyte.io Labs project published by ARKLYTE, LLC. This policy covers arc.labs.arklyte.io and the pages on that domain.
The site provides public information and a form for questioning an assessment. It does not currently offer accounts, paid subscriptions, advertising, or an email newsletter. Form submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database for private editorial review.
2. Information processed
Information you provide
When you question an assessment, the form collects the assessment, disputed measure, proposed score, argument, supporting evidence, optional source URL, submission reference, and timestamp. We intentionally do not request your name or email address. Do not include sensitive personal information or private information about another person in the narrative fields. If you contact Arklyte.io through another channel, the notice provided there governs the information you share.
Technical delivery and security data
Our hosting, domain, and security providers may automatically process ordinary request information such as IP address, device and browser type, requested URL, timestamps, referral information, and security signals. This processing is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and maintain security. Provider retention and handling practices may apply independently.
Cookies, local storage, and analytics
The site does not currently place advertising or analytics cookies intentionally. Essential platform technologies may be used to deliver, secure, and protect the submission endpoint. Cloudflare may process request metadata and security signals when delivering the form and database service. If analytics, advertising, subscriptions, identity, or email collection are introduced, this policy and any required consent mechanism will be updated before those features are activated.
Third-party links
The site links to archives, government resources, research organizations, and other publishers. Their privacy practices are outside our control. Opening an external link may allow that publisher to receive technical request information.
3. Use, disclosure, and retention
Technical information may be used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse of the site. Challenge content is used to evaluate disputed assessments, identify corrections, improve the methodology, and document editorial review. Challenges are private by default and are not automatically published. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the site or others, or to service providers acting for legitimate operational purposes.
We do not maintain advertising profiles. Unresolved challenge submissions may be retained for up to 24 months for editorial review and audit. A challenge materially relied upon in a published correction, revision, or dissent may be retained with that editorial record. Infrastructure logs are governed by configured provider retention periods. A deletion request must identify the submission reference because the form does not collect an account identity.
Children
This is a general-audience civic education site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You may limit information sent by your browser, decline nonessential consent choices if they are introduced, and contact us about a privacy concern. Some technical information is necessary to deliver a requested webpage securely.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Earlier versions should be retained when changes materially affect user rights or data practices.
4. Contact
Privacy questions may be directed through Arklyte.io. Include the submission reference when requesting access or deletion. A dedicated privacy-contact address should be established as submission volume grows or before additional personal information is collected.
